About the Organizer

This conference is being organized by Jessica Clements, a graduate student at George Mason University. Jessica's goals are three-fold:

1. Increase birth awareness on campus at GMU and in the DC metropolitan area;
2. Facilitate knowledge-sharing among childbirth researchers, professionals, and activists; and
3. Build coalitions that will cut through ideological differences to make positive change for birthing women.

Jessica's graduate research has focused on childbirth.
